- Sluit na het klussen altijd alle ramen en deuren. Lucht alleen als je er bent
- Haal sleutels uit alle sloten
- Slaap alvast in de woning
- Laat duidelijk zien dat je aanwezig bent door een lamp aan te doen en de radio aan te zetten
- Spreek met de nieuwe buren af om bij toerbeurt te slapen in de nieuwe woning
- Wissel telefoonnummers uit en informeer elkaar
- Een aantal auto’s in de straat maakt een bewoonde indruk
- Verwijder het front van je cv-installatie en bewaar hem ergens anders zolang je nog niet verhuisd bent. De inbreker die het op jouw installatie heeft voorzien, kan er dan niets meer mee.
- Plak een poster op je ramen met de tekst dat je dit gedaan hebt
- Installeer (tijdelijk) een draadloos alarmsysteem. Zorg dat de opstal- en inboedelverzekering ingaan op het moment van de sleuteloverdracht.
- Maak eventueel via de Vereniging van Eigenaren afspraken met de projectontwikkelaar over beveiligingsmaatregelen. De projectontwikkelaar kan de opgeleverde woningen misschien nog voor een langere periode meenemen in de bewakingsronden.
